Tai An, you are like a frog in the well, looking only superficially at
things around you and start grouching away, or is it all your classmates
are studying hard and you are jealous (:p) .
If you know more people, you'll realise that the chinese language is very
much alive and vibrant. Take for example, my frinds and my school, tere are
many activites held with traditional cultural activities held during
Culture Day, Chinese Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival and
blah-blah-blah. The English language is not everything! There almost as
many chinese plays and dramas as there are english and their quality is as
good, if not better. ( Have you seen "Man At 48", Cynthia Koh and Co. is
superb! ) A lot of my classmates are equally fluent in both languages and
about 15% of the school population take Chinese Literature for 'O' level ,
only losing to E.Lit. with about 20%. (The rest took history)
Tai An, i think you are saying all these because you do not about Chinese
very well, you seem to me to be very unhappy about your chinese school
results and henceforth, the chinese language in all. Last thing , the
english langauge is the international language but the chinese language is
here to stay!
Anything, what is so bad about school, i like school. You have friends to
play, talk, eat and study with. School is an opportunity where you can make
friends and have the legimate excuse to stay with them for the 10 years.
Wheeee!!
