[EVA] Thoughts on numbering system [EOE semi-spoiler]

Greetings, all.

This may have come up before, but I think it should be addressed.

Note that EVA's tape numbering system is not by volume (1,2,3, etc.),
but printed like Bible notation (0:1,0:2, etc.). Properly, it should
be read as "Genesis, Chapter 0, Verse 1" (and 2,3, and so on).
(At least, I think so... I'm not Christian so please correct me
if I'm wrong...)

Could this be Anno telling us that EVA is a prequel to the Bible?
If Shinji and Asuka are Adam and Eve in the reborn world, then does
the story progress on from there as the Bible does? Does this grand
cycle of death and rebirth continue?

Just some food for thought...
