EVA also presents reference to the Kabblah, Jewish mythology (sorry

Well, maybe I should state the 'incoherent numbering' theory maybe
  we'd get another view on this Adam & Eve thing.  I'll leave it
  alone for now.

I think it was also SEELE's belief that to futher human evolution
  we must start over with 2 again.  According to Kaworu (I think
  he did sorta lie or twisted the truth ... but that's going into
  my 'incoherent numbering' theory) all angels try to come into
  contact with Adam (nice suitcase ya got there, Kaji ^^).  This
  leads them to Tokyo-3, but Kaworu realizes that it is Lillith
  that was stabbed by the Lancea Longineus (sp?).
By saying just Adam and Eve we have omitted Lillith in the equation.
  The big white Rei from Rei returning to Lillith cause the same
  result as 'starting all over again'.

You are not wrong, but try to work Lillith into your theory.  Since
  'she' is also a major role in this.
