Those MILLIONS slaughtered by Stalin were done during the Great Purges.
Stalin's motivation was not one of relgion but of political ones.  (I
specialize in Soviet Russian History.)  Mao I believe was also one of
political.  So this is not a valid argument that Atheists slaughtered in the
name of religion.  If you want an argument, look at the Jacobins of
Revolutionary France.  Still political, but has a more anti-religious base.

As for the Catholics slaughtering others, we have Bloody Mary, the
Reformation, and the Hundred Years War.

The only religous group I can think of that hasn't gone off slaughtering a
great number of people are the Jews.  I could be wrong, but I can't think of
any times in history that has occurred.
