I think the reason is that Gundam is not that suitable for a broad 
audience, w/ militarism and psychological situations (EVA predecessor?)  
All the Gundam (original, not Wing) fans that I know of are mostly adults, 
this is chiefly the reason why TVB hesitated to buy the series, but they 
showed them eventually which is extremely lucky.

## Really? Why did they buy Space Battleship Yamato then? 
## I always find it a bit funny that they changed the name from "Yamamto"
## to "Peace" when they dubbed the series in Cantonese. 
## A lot of animators in Japan are pretty much into military stuff:
## Reiji Matsumoto and Miyazaki are some very good examples.
     
     
Yes, Yes!!  Sazae-san, Chibi-Maruko-chan and "You're under arrest" are 
all on the air in Hong Kong!!  

## "Sazae-san" on air outside Japan. Now that's some news.
