[EVA] Big Bunch 'o' questions (Revised)

I thought I'd relist the stuff Captain Jack and Dayspring started and add a
few more...I need more fanfic ideas and my scripts aren't providing me with
adequate data, so why not use other's opinion's? ^_^

1. What is NERV and SEELE's real purpose? (Start 3rd Impact or fight Angels?)
2. What are the Angels real purpose? (Test humans or initiate 3rd I./Unite
with Adam)
3. What is the HCP's real purpose?
4. Who is Adam and Lilith? 
5. Do the EVA's contain souls? (Is there any proof in the series they do?)
6. Does life exist after 3rd Impact (Again, is there real proof?)
7. Was all the info about the Angels taken from only the Dead Sea Scrolls
and the 1st Angel?

This should be good fanfic and discussion ground (I hope ^_^)
