[EVA] Questions

Hey all...

Got another question.. ^_^;
In episode 8 ('Asuka Strikes!'), Unit-02 couldn't fight effectively
underwater because it was (using?) B-type equipment. And from recent
posts someone mentioned about D-type equipment. Anyone enlighten me
on the equipment types, what they are, how they function, which
EVA's use them and when?

I guess that makes it a whole bunch 'o questions then... eheh. ^_^;
