[EVA] Episode 9

All right, I'm confused. What is all this talk about souls residing in
Eva units? I mean, I know there is one in Eva 01 because Yui was
absorbed into it during testing. But what is this about "Kyoko"? Aside
from being Asuka's mother (where did you people get this information. in
the tv episodes? i don't remember any mentions of her name?) who tried
to killed Asuka, I didn't hink she played any important part in the
history of NERV or in HCP. Am I wrong?
