I think it relates more to her mother. Strangled, close to hanging.
It's not the same, but done wrong, the person hung gets strangled.
Insanity, again about her mother. No, ouch, death, painful,
loss...all words that describe how Asuka felt about her mother's
death.
There are other behaviors she demonstrates that could be interpreted
as sexual abuse like how she seems to think males are so inferior, but
it is more likely because of her wish not to get attached to another
person or even just her egotistical front she puts up. All things she
would try to suppress though.
