        My name is Aaska( pseudonym) and I'm new to this discussion group.
I'd like to say hello to everyone on this list and I'm so glad to meet you 
all here.

Just want you to know that Evangelion is the best animation I've ever seen 
in my entire life, and I'm SOOOOO crazy about Eva that I never hesitate 
to buy EVERY single Eva stuff I see on ad or in some stores.  I've got Eva 
OSTs, posters, pencil boards, cards, VHS tapes, DVDs, model kits, mangas, 
     
## Have you bought or got the following?
## A) The EVANGELION ORIGINAL books (come in 3 volumes). They contain 
##    the whole script play of the TV episodes. Very important in
##    my Japanese listening practice when watching the TV series :-) 
## B) The Evangelion UCC canned coffee. The EVA character is printed 
##    on the coffee can and he/she is shown holding a UCC coffee can 
##    in his/her hand (what else) It comes in 6 varieties: Rei, Asuka, 
Misato,
##    Shinji, Kaworu, and 5 of them together. My complaint is that 
##    how could they miss out Ritsuko, the heaviest coffee gulper?? 
## C) The Evangelion Print Club sticker. Get you stickers which
##    have you pictured side by side with an EVA character. I have 
##    yet to do this with Asuka :)
## D) The numerous Evangelion Doujinshi. Erotic and non-erotic. 
##    There are so many of them, but they also tend to get out of 
##    print very quickly.
## E) You might want to have EVA clocks or
## F) EVA piggy-banks (nickname: Human Finance Complementary 
##    Project; I am not making this up) 
## G) Dozens of books filled with discussions and purported 
##    analysis of Evangelion.
     
I've watched all the TV episodes( incld. #25-26) of Eva 14 times and I 
     
## 14 times?! Serious? I am impressed. 
## How long did it take for you to watch it 14 times? You didn't fast 
## forward, did you? :)
     
wanna go over them again when I have time.  My favorite characters are 
Aaska( or Asuka.. whatever) and, our unhappy hero, Shiji Ikari.  I've been 
     
## So perhaps you like the ending of TEOE movie, right? 
## What did you think when Shinji xxx xxx Asuka in the hospital?
     
looking for Aaska fans since I saw Aaska's first appearance in ep 8, 
and it's so sad that I've met only few of them on the internet so far. 
Hope I can meet more Aaska worshippers here on this list and pray together 
for her.
     
## You get one here. I am an Asuka fan. I even wished to be dragged 
## around and beat around by Asuka :-P
     
I had a chance to watch the 2nd Eva film, The End Of Evangelion, while 
staying in Japan and, God, it was AWESOME!  
     
## Good for you!!
     
I strongly encourage you all to buy the copies when commercially 
available in the U.S.( or maybe you could get Fan-subbed version)  I'm 
telling ya the film is even greater than TV episodes and you won't be 
disappointed...
     
## Hmmm... I don't think everybody would enjoy the movie. The movie 
## is very unconventional in its directing and script play. Also, 
## the plot may not be to everybody's taste, not to mention the 
## strange ending....
     
If you are one of those who were very unhappy with the last 2 episodes of 
the TV series, then you MUST watch this.  Let's have some hope that we 
could see this film here in the U.S. soon..
     
## Happy or not happy, this is still a must-see. It is just a pity that 
## we now have two official endings. I like a unified theory of the
## universe :)  I cannot say I like how things unwrapped in the movie, 
## but then I am satisfied with the TV ending. Anyway, I am glad to 
## see that Shinji and Asuka are together....

## I always wonder why she said that.... I take this as a prelude that
## things start coming back as normal after all the turmoils and 
## ordeal. The physical world may change beyond recognition, but
## their hearts still retain something unchanged. It could also be
## taken as an indication that they didn't break their personal
## wall at the end: Shinji is still inwardly looking and less than
## communicative, Asuka retains her pride and withdraws from her
## unexpected showing of affection just a moment ago. This would be
## a sad thing. But then I believe they are closer together at the
## end, both in body and heart. And I think Rei will watch over
## them well :-)
