I have the MS Gundam Master Grade box set LD which contain the all 3
original Gundam movies, so the original series do exist. This year is
also the 20th anniversary of the original Gundam and the whole entire TV
series of the original Gundam will finally come to LD. I am getting that
for sure. $$$ ^_^;

I guess I am really one of those *really* old school, why are we keep
talking about the Pocket series (not PocketMon), 0083, Gundam W, etc.
but not MSG, Zeta or even Double Zeta? The reason I don't even consider
0083 as official Gundam (even though I do like the human drama in 0083)
since all of these stories purposely lack Tomino's idea of human
evolution. Crash course on Tomino's NewType: people that born in space
gain special ability and are the future of human race). And without
NewType, the idea of Gundam and the struggle/conflict between the
characters are all pointless--no matter how realistic it is.

And yes, original Gundam is one of the series one need to spend time to
digest the dialogue (just like Evangelion). I love the fact that once
Char said in the original Gundam series: due to the ultra
advancement of technology, the human warfare will eventually come once
again face-to-face---hence we have MS. Deep stuff. ^_^;
