Where do we come from?  :)  Let the mysteries alone and they won't come
along and bite you in the ass.  Besides, beyond the fact that they are
reffered to as "aliens", there is no real evidence for thier origin.  One
appears in an ebreonic state in a volcano, but Adam/Lilith seemed to be
burried in Antarctica as well.  Who knows.  One possibility:  Genisis 6
speaks of the "Sons of God"(angels) taking lust to the dauters(sp) of man.
The Angels decend of thier own acord and ........  ahem.  Copulate with
the women.  The resulting offspring were described as "mosters", or
"giants".  This is only a lead up to Noah, and the angel-decended are just
one more reason given for God to hit the "smite" button on his
computer(wish I had one of those).  :)

Another possibility is the Garden motif, and an odd question.  Namely, if
the Big Dude decided that man was taking from the tree again(finding
Adam/Lillith), he would send in the agels to drive man out of of
Paradise(Gendo and Futizki(sp) often talk about the "Paradise made by
Man").  Now to the first couple, flaming swords is pretty bad, but to the
modern mind, a sword is only good if I don't shoot you first, but the
wepon of an angel of vengance has to be terrifying.  Who's to stop them
from choosing the ones they do?  They all seem pretty terrifying to me.
