> Can anyone confirm this that? By check the actual filmbook, I mean!
filmbook vol.1 page 16, CHECKPOINT:
" In practice, it is said that the melting of antarctic ices causes
sea level to rise 60-85 meters from the present level ( survey of the
National
Science Museum ). As a result, in EVA world, buildings of 2000's are
almost
submerged "
## My translation of the Checkpoint on that page is slightly different:
## "As a matter of fact, if the ice in Antartica melts, the sea level will
## rise by 60-85 metres (according to the National Science Museum). That is
## why here you can see almost the buildings as existed in late 20th century
## are submerged under water"
Does this is an actual statement (I mean, a non-finction statement)
reported by the filmbook, as that 'Survey of National Science Museum'
suggest, or does it is all a Eva-finction creation?
## According to my translation, it is clear that the National Science
## Museum as mentioned in Checkpoint refers to the real life
## instituion. So here the writer of the Checkpoint is also making a
## edcuated guess as to how much the water level rises in EVA world.
## Since the writer is also one of the Gainax people, we could take
## this as much as a fact in EVA world.
