Eh...
If I remember right from both 7th, 8th, and this year 9th Sciences, Densities
of water:
Ice (solid): 0.5
Water (liquid): 1.0
Vapor (gas): 0.5
Water is one of (if not the only) substance that is LESS dense in solid then
in liquid.
Lets say Antarctica was completely liquidized (the ice part, that is)-- all
would turn into water, but only take up half the space.
(Amazing what you can learn in just a few labs!)
