[EVA] Concerning Kaji (spoiler)

I just watched tape eleven for the first time about fifteen minutes ago and
I have two questions:


Is there a possibility that Kaji isn't dead???  They never tell
you...(unless it is revealed later in the series or movies)


Is SEELE computer generated or are they actual human beings?
(Yes I know this is a confusing question) In reference to the interrogation
of Fuyutsuki...
