Hey, don't worry about asking a question that's been asked before, providing
it's not in the FAQs.  After all, nobody gets hurt by these (well, Gareth
gets a migraine, but at least he answers the questions ^_^).  Although it's
true that Asuka's mom ( IIRC her name is Kyoko) is in the EVA 02 and Yui is
in 01 (as confirmed in the RCB, aka the Red Cross Book), I would caution
against making any assumptions about Units 00 and 03.  While the evidence is
strong and many good arguments have been made for Touji's sis being in Unit
03, this is not fact and should not be passed off as fact (otherwise we all
get really comphuzed 0_o).  Same goes (doubly) for Unit 00, which is really
enigmatic (with Rei, everything's a mystery ^_^).  

Actually, the answer to who is in the core of Unit 00 is......It's Hideaki
Anno's soul!  Really, think about it, he directing the prototype and gets
his soul sucked in.  Remember what happened when Asuka's mom lost her soul?
Well, considering how some people regard Anno as....disturbed, it all makes
sense!  I bet Gendou and Ritsuko are both really otaku, and considering the
way Anno feels about otaku, hey, who woulnd't be scared?  Actually, I'm just
kidding and I definately respect Anno for his job in NGE.  I personally tend
to lean to the 'primal tendencies/no one's in the core of unit 00' camp
myself, but until Anno or Gainax make some kinda authorative statement, it's
all just speculation.

BTW, Gendou really doesn't have any qualms against using Rei as a tool for
his plans anyway, so throwing Naoko into unit 00 probably wouldn't do much
to stir his ...ahem, conscience (that rat...grrrr).
