The half-completed Air script is in the ML archives.  Patrick posted it a
while ago.  (Actually, IIRC, Tom posted it for him... :)  Someone recently
posted a place where you could get Magokoro.  I can't give you the URL
at this moment since I am at school right now. (just take my word for
that) The site that originally had both went down. It did have a complete
"Air,"  but, it was not as well translated as the later one since Patrick
has corrected it for the later version.)

The MPMs are controlled by dummy plugs that use Kaoru's personal pattern 
and clone bodies.

I would imagine so, but there are no souls in them since it is
unnecessary.
