[EVA] Unit 00's Core

What about 00, though? It can't really be ignored in the context of this
discussion, IMO, even if it is a special case in that it is the only Eva
with a 'soul' whose origins we are unclear on. However, Shinji can synch
with 00 quite easily... why? Shinji and Rei can synchronise with either
00 or 01 as is required (and allowing for Yui being obtuse ^_^). Odd,
ne? Or is there an explanation which I've missed?
