Seriously, I don't think the angels are any more divine in origin than I
am. (In my non-List Admin incarnations. Despite any rumors you may have
heard to the contrary.) 

I happen to think that SEELE is behind the angels, in whole or in part.

Or just a quote. A metaphor, perhaps, but I don't think this one quote can
be construed as divine involvement in the Eva world. At most, the Eva
universe can be considered a Deist one.
