[EVA] Pen-Pen's Secret?

    Driving between schools during work a couple days ago, my thoughts
drifted to Disney finally getting around to releasing The Black Cauldron
on video. Having never seen the animated movie before, my thoughts
drifted further to the books. Somehow, while thinking about Hen-Wen, the
oracle pig, I made the jump to Pen-Pen. Perhaps these two have something
in common? Looking at Pen-Pen's name, I tested a little theory and found
it correct. The letter P is dead center between H and W. Could in fact
Pen-Pen be a Penquin version of an animal oracle? Here's my theory:

        When the Katsuragi Expedition journeyed to Antarctica, Pen-Pen
foresaw the upcoming Second Impact, and also his chance to survive it.
He hitched a ride with Misato when she was sent away in the rescue pod,
and ended up as well in Gendo's hands. During the two years Misato was
catatonic, Pen-Pen revealed to Gendo the coming events in his, and
mankind's, future. He also learned to adapt and become a warm climate
penquin, taking to Misato and living with her.
