-> I argue the point that there is no soul in Eva-03 because of the very 
fact that an angel was able to control it. Think about episode 24. 
Kaworu (an angel) makes it quite clear that if there is no soul present 
that he can control it (or, in his case, the soul is sleeping or hiding, 
or whatever).

-> Agreed. *But* if I had been in charge I would have killed Touji off 
there. Don't get me wrong, Touji is a nice character, but I think that a 
real shocking death would've been great in the TV show. It would have 
been even better if it had been Kensuke. Think about it, Kensuke longs 
to be an Eva pilot, then when he finally gets his own Eva he gets killed 
my none other then Eva-01... talk about angst ^_^
