I don't know if he's ever read the Ender series, but the similarities
in both of their work is indeed there.  I saw the connection mostly
with how a young person is responsible for the fate of the human race.
 I've seen a lot of other stories and movies that use that same motif,
but only Ender's Game and Evangelion seem to really focus on the
trauma this causes the individual.
