The computer part I remember indicates that the being poking out of the
Geofront is *human*. Problem is, I don't think that the "giant Rei" should
be regarded as "Rei" or "Lilith", because it's the sum of many parts
already, including Adam's body. We're not talking about the same entity.
Lilith as a complete being, with her own mind and soul, is never shown in
the series or the movies, but it's the one that should have a place in the
angel ranking if we want to fit her in it. Whether she's an angel or not it
depends on many things including personal taste. I'm still not convinced
about the fact that she and Adam might be equals, there is enough ambiguity
to hold the theory that Adam might descend from Lilith too and therefore she
would be the only source of life, and as such she'd have characteristics
that Angels don't have and she could not fit in the cathegory. As for Rei
being an angel, same problem. Does having Lilith's soul make her half an
angel? Or half a source of life? Or a human? About her dna, we only know
that she was made ouut of the remains of Yui...
