Personally, I think both of the different moods and intellectual levels that
the story is told in are essential. The first few episodes seem to take you
into the series gradually enough that some people who do not have the brain
pans we do can handle it when it comes around to the later, and more
complicated, episodes. I, for one, think it was a good idea.
