The hospital scene, which is not horrible but censors would strip it anyway.
Some parts of the JSSDF assault, notably the man begging and being shot in
the head and Possibly similar). Rei on top of Shinji, and Shinji strangling
Asuka. These are the parts that if I were a censor (the way I percieve a
censor) I would snip. Other than that, I wouldn't know. However, I've seen
Mononoke Hime recently. I had been given the impression that despite being a
Miyazaki movie, it would've been full of gore. It is undoubtedly more direct
than Laputa, where you see only tiny dots falling from the sky-city and not
really people, or Nausicaa where, say, some monsters shed blue blood.
However, it doesn't come anywhere near to the idea I had made of it. There's
blood where it's needed. But I heard that they felt it would've been a
problem if they decided to air it. If you're still here, you probably got by
yourself the idea I've been trying to express: not everybody has the same
concerns, not everybody has the same perception of the same show.
Theirs on EoE probably is that it's violent.
