More than whenever told to, whenever they feel like. MP Evas actually act
like beasts, as Eva 01 does under dummy plug control. MP Evas have Kaworu
dummies, not Rei's.

Does it? One way of interpreting the message behind Eva is "stop being a
child, grow and decide your life for yourself". And would he do that by
having two girls have a giant scale catfight? Hardly believable to me.
Besides, it's not like Rei actually shows any dislike for Asuka, nor that
Asuka does actually hate Rei (other than out of her depression for failure,
which is to me a momentary state).
