[EVA] (Semi-OT) EoE in Theaters/Perfect Blue

I also recommended Perfect Blue to a good friend who had not watched
much anime before. Not only is it an excellent movie, but I was hoping
that it would raise his opinion of Japanese anime. However, he also said
that the dub was "the worst he had ever seen", and it distracted him and
his girlfriend from the movie so much that while they found some of the
scenes portraying less savory aspects of Japanese culture interesting,
they did not enjoy the movie at all.
This is a crying shame, and makes me also worry about EoE because while
the dialog in Perfect Blue is good, it is also very simple. If EoE is a
"10" in terms of difficulty, Perfect Blue would have to be a "4" or "5".
