[EVA] A sign from the heavens

    While reviewing End of Evangelion I noticed an odd pattern/symbol flashed 
onto the screen while third impact occurred. It looked somewhat like a 
pretzel patterned. Does anyone know what this was? Sorry for not being 
specific to what exact point the symbol appeared but what I do remember was 
it occurring during third impact and it was only on screen for a moment.
