Well,
The syml3olism may l3e \/ague, and this is only an opinion, l3ut l3ased on 
this, I'd say that Anno picked "Marduk" l3ecause, the controlled "God" which 
the humans had was manned l3y children..like the "son of Tiamat" humans that 
were descendents of those who tried to possess the "god"..anyway, it's just a 
theory..I'm fully prepared to l3e shot down.
