>>The evidence you present is not quite solid in itself to prove
>>your case.

*blink* Huh?
I give two opposing canon quotes (which are *not* ambiguous), with two
specific supporting examples showing a clear difference, and all I get
is "not quite solid enough evidence"?
No rebuttal, no refutation, no counter examples -- just "not quite solid
enough evidence"? What more do you need? A signed statement from Anno?

>>Again, given assumptions along the lines of ATFT, that a "removed
>>organ" has a soul is possible, given that it's still "alive."
>>There's no evidence to suggest whether this is true or not.

Which is why it can't be used as a basis for argument.
In the Evaverse, there are living organic objects which do not have
souls -- the Rei clones and the Eva before investment with human souls.
When discussing souls with regards to Eva, this is the only level of
soul which is relevant, since this is the level which the creators
explicitly stated in the series.
With the ATFT, you are trying to add interpretation which was *not*
stated in the series, and which was clearly *refuted* in the series.

>>That a part of Adam containing his S^2 cannot become an Angel
>within itself upon separation is unproved.

Yes it is -- each of the Angels is born with their own S^2.
Unless of course you want to imply that S^2 can be shared/transferred
between entities like souls... :P
