[EVA] Yui's involvment

It wasn't there to have one think Shinji's dizzy, it was there to hint that
Gendou didn't kill her and that there was something else behind it.

I still don't agree. Yui *accepted* being absorbed, but I don't think she
planned it. She understood her situation though and entrusted Shinji with the
future of mankind by making sure nobody else would pilot Eva01. Even if it meant
to be apart from each other.
