How? The entry plug is not biologically connected to the Eva, afaik.

Misato's is purple, and while sometimes it's show to be almost black, in normal
light it's basically purple, and she didn't dye it like Ritsuko did. And no,
it's not dark brown with purple highlights like somebody else said, if it were
so, brown would be the dominating color, but in many clear-light scenes her hair
is merely purple with light purple highlights.

It's also been said it could be because she's a clone.

be interpreted simply that they both come from Adam, but he may come from Adam
in the sense that he's got Adam's soul and is an angel...

Well, where did Arael and Armisael have an S^2 then? I'd say that being the
angel with Adam's soul he's entitled to the greatest power among the angels.
This because Adam is not a normal angel, he's the first, and part of the
original single being. And same goes for Rei and Lilith's soul.

Seele *did* know of Eva 01, they planned to use it since to use Lilith's
original body they needed the Lance whioch was lost on the moon, but Unit01
could be used with the 9 MPs and the replicas.
