I disagree, I don't think 4-years old Shinji, scared and desperate for loosing
mother, had the time to read all the newspapers we're flashed in episode 16, yet
it's him having these flashes. So I think that the flash in the Dir. Cut episode
may be for our use rather than really being the product of Ritsu's mind, or at
the very least are a combination of wht she's thinking with what we're supposed
to bang our heads on...
