SEELE is a mysterious organization that can override the UN. The committee 
is their visible side. The committee oversees Nerv. SEELE pretty much 
oversees all of Earth.

Mr. Akagi probably left, or died. He seems not to have had an impact into 
Ritsu's life.

SEELE is human. They have odd beliefs about the world, and are somewhat like 
priests, but they are human.

No. The Director's cut footage (as seen in the Japanese release) shows it in 
more detail. The lance cancelled out its AT field, and went straight through 
it. It collapsed on itself.

>Why then do I see a ship in this same sea?

Protection. Probably armed to keep people like Kaji away.

Terminal Dogma is at the absolute bottom of NERV, with the lake of LCL. 
Central is where the Rei are kept.

The ship is either: A) Automated. B) Run by NERV black ops agents C) Just 
there to pad Nerv's budget.

Fuyutsuki: "We also need more money to...um... put a crew on the ship 
guarding Lillith... right..."
