Please, don't get me wrong. Sex is a natural part of life, and if it's
discussed on the ML, bully for everyone, no big deal. My concern comes
when people make excessively lewd comments that don't contribute any to
the current conversation.
If I may quote from the list rules:
"All messages should in some way be appropriate to Evangelion. It's ok
to discuss other things (within reason, of course), but try not to go
overboard."
I would say that making degrading comments about lesbians going
overboard.
Now, some might argue with:
"Evangelion deals with some mature issues, and these issues can and
should be discussed on the list."
However, once again, mature issues can be discussed without going
overboard.
If there were any African American people in Eva, I'm sure that there
would be a lot of upset people if someone called one of them a N*****
(I'm sure you can guess the word). If there were any retarded people in
Eva, I'm also sure that people would get upset if those characters were
called retards. Same for if people started calling Kaworu and Shinji
f at ggots.
My request is simply that people try not to go out of their way to be
offensive. We all have to live in peace.
Elise
