I had always believed that Shinji reformed out of the LCL that had
spilled on to the deck. I have read about others believing that he came
back through the core. Is there any "fact" (in quotes because well, this
is Eva...) regarding this?

So is the Adam embryo the real deal or is it a clone? I know that the
literal translations say that the SI was caused by reducing adam to an
egg, or something to that effect.
