    It was implied that someone else (Yui) was taken into Eva. It's also implied
that the people who wrote the RCB had been high on crank. Put those together and
you have the end result that both Yui and Shinji had the same thing happen to
them or else the wouldn't have a system for recovery already. I don't think
Ritsuko would have given credit for something like that to her predecessor.
