On the other hand, if Shinji's body just reformed out of LCL and had
nothing to do with the core, than one has to wonder why the core is
glowing on when we see Shinji's body (The glow on the core quickly fades
out). I personally thought that was highly suggestive of Shinji "popping
out of the core".
