Red Cross Book.

You know at the theatre, like musicals or opera, they will distribute a 
booklet with information about the show, like who was in it, and the such? 
Well, when the End of Evangelion showed in theaters, a booklet called the 
Red Cross Book was sold.

It has information about the film, like production notes about why the film 
was made. It explains JudeoChristian imagery to the Audience, who would be 
ShintoBuddhists, several technical terms, such as Bakelite, and more 
controversially, definitions for thigns such as Lillith, Black Moon, Lance 
of Longinous and the such are included.

It is NOT a recap of the series. None would be needed. Would a person who 
never saw EVA watch EoE?

And it is official. The information in it is used by this ML to explain much 
of the EVA info.
