Read my thing on this below. Not only do children not have enough training,
(In Japan, Voice Acting is very important, there are schools to go to in
order to learn how to become a seiyuu) but if the series is long running,
then their voice changes, and that new voice might not work for the
character.
For example.
If Bart of the Simpsons was voiced by a young boy, then by now, he'd have
grown up, and his voice would no longer match the character. Better to get
an adult woman.
