[EVA] Is "What I'm saying, Shinji, is that I love you." debatable?

The angels in Eva are most likely just codenamed as angels and with angelic
names, and are not the angels from Judo-Christian tradition, just as Adam is not
*that* Adam, and the Lance is not *that* Lance.

IIRC the origina concept expresses a kind of love that in the case can be
considered very intimate but not sexual.
