I think you missed the point.  Rei isn't really pregnant.  He was making
alliteration to the fact that the soul could make her seem pregnant in the
sense that she has a "foreign body" inside her.  It's a soul...I doubt
she's going to give birth to it nine months later.  Also don't forget that
we really don't know the age of the Rei who said that (was it II or
III?).  For all she knows she's never bled before, and probably never will
because she expects to die from precedence.

She could also be speaking emotionally.  She rarely shows
emotion.  Nothing seems to phase her, and thus, she doesn't bleed.  I'm
sure she could if she'd wanted to.
