[EVA][SPOILERS - sorta] Rei's Origins

Revised episodes (looks around for pointy objects aimed towards him). In the
revised version of the Reiquarium scene in episode 23 it can be seen, overlaid
to the panning on the Reis, a lot of scenes including a vertical pan which
contains TWO very similar beings lying on a cross laying on the floor. It is a
tricky sequence, where one can't really be sure whether what was shown is a
single, giant room with one cross, a being crucified on the upper side of the
cross (the one with the cross-arms), and another one, very similar, on the
'foot' of the cross, or rather two different rooms, and therefore two crosses.
Ritsuko's talking about man trying to control Adam and failing, thus turning to
Eva to achieve his goals. So what this exactly means is a bit unclear, but I
tend to apply duality here, so if both Adam and Lilith have an egg, they can
very well have a cross each.

Not exactly; the Lance was brought _back_ from the Dead Sea (whether this means
the geographical place or not is unclear and right now unimportant) to be used
on the _donor/provider_. This is said in the revised version of episode 21,
before the opening, and in Death too.

What we see is Rei using Unit 00' and walking in the depths of Dogma, holding
the Lance in the hand. Though it is not the same storyline, in the manga we see
her put it in Lilith. The Lance had been brought from Antarctica by Gendou and
Kozou on the Carrier during the trip they have there when the skyfalling angel
attacks.

Yes. And listened to the track too. And, that is also the track where Gendou has
nosebleeds, Asuka says Kaworu is gay, and so on... ^^
