I thought perhaps the "NO!" was her reaction to the angel
attacking Unit 01 (and Shinji) and not necessarily Rei 
immediately refuting her previous statement.  It does seem
pretty ambiguous though.  Of course there's also the image
of Gendo (presumably the last thing she's thinking about
when she activates D-Mode)...

Brian, who needs to rewatch that and try to get a better grasp
of which lines preceeding the self-destruct scene belong to
Rei and which lines belong to the angel.
