Hmmm - what source do you have for this? There aren't many (any?) films
"banned" in the US (unless they are of an illegal nature, of course).
'Battle Royale' has been screened across the US in various film
festivals and is readily available, subtitled into english, in some very
public areas (if you know where to look.. I guess).

The Japanese PTA and apparently government (?) wanted it banned, but as
of yet it's still in distribution.
