   I'm kinda having a crisis here. I'm after visiting fanfic.net. Great source 
   of Fanfiction. Except all the files I download:
   
   "GZIP COMPRESSED DOCUMENTS" or ".gz"
   
those are files compressed with gzip (``GNU Zip'').  Get a copy of
gunzip (GNU Unzip), it's free software, and should be available for
most platforms (though, originally, it is a UNIX program).

Do a google search on ``gzip for windows'' or ``gzip for macintosh''
or whatever you're using.
