Is that a correct translation?
If it isn't, she may have been referring to carpeting parts of Nerv or
something? (yes, thinking concrete here)
Meaning it'd be more comfortable to die on carpet as opposed to a cold
floor? ;p
I also don't recall hearing anything about red carpet..
