You reminded me of a question I had waaay back when this image first
circulated throughout the list. Eva construction. This particular cloning
image would suggest that Unit 01 is fully biological with the exception of the
control/system apparatus. Grown directly from Lilith, who is obviously an
organism without mechanical bits. Cues in the TV series, such as when Gendou
shows Fuyutsuki the prototype "god", and the Eva graveyard, show that the
other Evas were grown around a mechanical form. As in, how does it go, ah
yes.. android Evangelion. Could one think that the Adam-series have more
man-made content, or are they all the same, and the Eva-01-from-Lilith clone
sequence is just one of those "cool" images thrown in rest-of-the-series-be-damned?
