1- The test Evas and graveyard Evas are not necessarily working models. The
graveyard Evas are obviusly failures, and the test Eva in Ep21 could either be a
mock-up of the control system to be implanted in the organic body, or a cover-up to
show to visiting dignitaries (funding) while the real Eva cloning work is taking
place deep underground.
2- Only Eva-01 could have been "grown" in that manner (separation in complete
form). Adam had been reduced to an embryo (or a few cel samples), so the other Evas
(clones of Adam) would have to have been cultured and grown from these few remaining
cels. This might require an artificial skeleton to provide form around which cel
tissue was grown.
