Anno and Gainax made a film to end Evangelion. There are no "versions".

So I'm obliged to buy it just cause I've always liked Eva, regardless of how 
much license is taken over it?

It won't be the Eva I've liked all these years if some *dubbing* studio 
arbitrarilly changes the dialogue from what Anno/GAINAX approved.

Seriously, go voice acting! We wouldn't have animation without it. What I object 
to is voice *over*-acting, which IMO is what most of ADV's dub is.
